When will remote play come to Diablo 2: Resurrected?
Diablo 2: Resurrected is the second installment of the role-playing game that has captivated so many players since its original release in 2000. A Diablo 2 layover usually lasts no less than a few months, with all players starting over with new characters and empty inventories. This resets the economy and gives players a chance to fight for the top of the XP leaderboard. While Diablo 2: Resurrected still doesn’t have a true endgame like Diablo 3’s rifts or Path of Exile’s maps, a new ladder always appeals to many players who want to enjoy the thrill of a fresh start.
Diablo 2: Resurrected does not yet have a concrete date for its first ladder season, but it is expected to be on its way in the near future. Patch 2.4 launched in the Public Test Realm on January 25 and lasted until February 9, when it was removed for maintenance. The initial two-week period in the RPP gave PC players a chance to test out the myriad changes to class abilities, mercenaries, runes and more.
The RPP for patch 2.4 is expected to resume once the maintenance is over. A tweet from the official Diablo account said that it had been “temporarily disabled” and that we would see it again soon.
Assuming we get just one more testing period and it lasts the same two weeks as the RPP relaunch, this could line us up with a ladder start date sometime in mid-March. If more test periods are needed or if the next test period lasts longer than two weeks, the ladder launch will be delayed.
